Name: Jeremy Christey
Role: Skipper of Jeez-Louise

Back in February 08 we decided to don our sea legs and join the 'Jeez Louise' sailing team led by Jeremy Christey ('Jem'). Jem has been instrumental in teaching us the finer art of sailing and has influenced the way we now approach the race. Jem is a multi-talented individual; as a psychologist and psychotherapist he has helped us to mentally prepare and manage ourselves, he has helped us organise our sea trials, he has spent all night at sea barking orders at us and he has been a pillar of support throughout our race preparation period. This support will continue forward until we reach the sandy shoreline of Mauritius.

Tim and Jem have been sailing together for a number of years and both have extensive sailing knowledge that we hope to harness. During the race Jem and Tim will become tacticians, alongside providing us with essential information about our progress, the weather and currents, one of their main responsibilities will be to set us on to a particular bearing to make our way across the Indian Ocean as efficiently as possible.
