FOR ALL THE BROTHERS OUT THERE. These mist covered mountains are old now for me But my home is the lowlands and always will be Someday you'll return to your valleys and your farms And you'll no longer burn to be Brother's in Arms. Through these fields of destruction Baptisms of fire,i've witnessed your suffering as the battle reached town And although all happens so bad in the fear and the long You did not deserve me Brothers in Arms There's so many different worlds So many different suns And we have just one more But we'll live in different worlds Now the suns gone to heaven Moon riding high Let me bid you farewell, every man has to die But it's written in the stars and Every line in your palm We're no fools to make one of our Brothers in Arms Dire Straits Thank you Tom for all your Brotherly love and total commitment. I know you both love this track!! Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Can't believe you are now so close, the excitement is intense - just wish they updated the progress page by the minute. Reckon you can smell the beer by now.

Dire Straits - how appropriate - we are sad that Matt couldn't get to come over to Mauritius but he is with his brother 150% in spirit I know. I am resisting the urge to look out to sea binoculars in hand just yet.........!

Rowing is a sport for dreamers. As long as you put in the work, you can own the dream. When the work stops, the dream disappears. Jim Dietz

First it was months, then weeks, then days, now it's hours! Despite what Claire says, I would imagine everyone there has their eyes on the horizon, looking for a dot to appear! Years ago we watched a small boy swimming the length of the lake at Rye. Little did we realise that all that determination and energy would one day need a much bigger stage. I am quite nervous in the water, but I think now Guy, I would be very happy to go out in a rowing boat with you!!(Or Andrew of course, although we haven't met you). Well done both of you! Love John,Ann and Boys.x

You are doing so amazingly, forget the bump blisters and think of the burgers!!!

Nearly there now! The suspense is all consuming - so glad the "advance party" has arrived in time. Bet you boys slowed down a little to make sure the reception party has everyone there who can be. I don't see why all of us back here can't join in our own way and we have a bottle of champagne in the fridge ready to crack open as soon as we hear you've landed - what an amazing feat you will have achieved. C'mon boys, row, row , row..........so excited for you. Sue & Geoff

Wow, what an amazing effort you have made to cover so many miles in the last few days - it must be the thought of all those beers!! Well done.

the girls are doing well as of this am. They are giving the island some room as they are coming in on a lea shore and would quite like to miss those reefs. The line is just that, it isn't THE finish line and they will be progressing a further 1.5 hrs to land, to gain the land to land record. All good on FF, boat's good, boys are up, conditions are optimal. ETA 4pm-ish BST thursday. Jem

You must be able to smell land by now. One final push and you will be there tomorrow.Worthy record holders to boot ! We will toast your magnificent achievement at Catherine's wedding on Saturday. Have a great reunion with all your loved ones, beer and burgers. As always I am in awe and total respect of what you have achieved. I look forward to hearing some of your tales when you finally get back to UK. Ian

Well done chaps. You must almost be able to smell land! We at Rossiter Yachts are very proud of your achievements and have all become avid 'dot watchers'. You have proven to be worthy adversaries of the sea as I am sure that at times it has felt like a battle. Looking forward to hearing all about it then reading the book/watching the film! Cris out (seems to be the thing to say!)

Amazing stuff fellas, Can't believe you are nearly there. Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to Mauritius to see you come in, I would love to be there. My family and I have 100% respect for what you have done. I will ensure everyone at the wedding on saturday toasts towards your achievement. Enjoy Mauritius when you get there, it is a fantastic island. And Del, no blagging your way into any flashy hotels like you did in Sandy Lane! You might want to check how many rooms the hotel has beforehand! One final push boys, come on. Chorlts
