Wooo hooo! finally i can get on this site and send you a message! totally loving it...
well done guys, massive achievement....in my blonde state i was just about to type the song 'and i would walk 500 miles and i would.....' but then realised you are indeed rowing...and infact gone past 500 miles twice now so that song title is totally useless.....
ANyway, thinking of you TONS.... and will be checking so regularly now i have had it explained to me how this thing works! excuse my simple mind!
loving you xxxx
great to see the 1000m mark has been passed, superb achievement so far, next the half way mark then the sprint for home ! Great to see that you've made great headway into the SC boys, they'll be able to smell you soon !! Keep up the great rowing lads,
Mike
Well done - 1000nm is a huge achivement. What is the next milestone?
Have just been catching up on your blogs - I didn't realise anyone still listened to Enya - especially naked! You said you had been watching films - which ones did you take with you - presumably nothing water or rowing-related?!
You are doing so well - keep it up and hope things stay calm for you.

Aha! Now I see why you're 1067 nm in with 2079nm to go, when Southern Cross are 1097 nm in with 2076nm to go. So basically, you've won!! Haha.
Yo wassup homeboys?!
Bit down in the household today after the miserable loss last night to Barcelona. Never mind...worse things happen.....oh sorry...shut up Mark.
Been camping for a few days in Snowdon, so just come on and checked your progress.......you're doing brilliantly well! Come on lads, I need a world record to cheer me up. Expect you'll have some severe mental scarring though, what with all the rolling around naked together. Hope those images don't come back to haunt you, just when you could do without it? (waaaaaa haaaaa)
Trumpet Out (still making myself laugh with that...easily pleased)
All I know is that if SC keep going north then south they do more mileage for less distance!
In case you havn't heard Barca gave Utd a proper whipping. It was men against boys out there. Ronaldo was crying like a baby at the end.
Yes its great news, it must be a real relief for them to be able to get on and row after so much waiting! I make mid point 1565 nm so about 500 miles to hit that one....I hope the growing smell of an approaching FF doesn't spur the SC boys on too much!
Boys, first chance i've had to get on here in a few days as Mrs Jefferys-to-be and I took an extended Bank Hol break across the Channel. We felt tantalisingly close to you on our car ferry from Plymouth as we pitched and rolled over the sea to distant Roscoff.
So it was with eager anticipation that i logged on to your blog to find you virtually level-pegging with SC! Sounds like they had to deal with a capsize - and you boys didn't fail to capitalise. Great work.
Andrew, I have to admit my holiday was made complete watching Man Ure succumb to the might of Barca last night - Ronaldo's face at the end was a picture. Losing to the fiercest rivals of the team you'll join this summer: Priceless.
And finally, Guy, thanks for the engagement announcement. How's your speech coming on?

Congratulation on reaching the 1000nm mark and narrowing the gap with SC. The bad weather you encounted a week or so ago gave us 50mm of rain here on the west coast. The sun burnt country is now quickly turning green and the farmers are busy planting their crops. In answer to Peter in West Sussex re your lost buckets, they may well turn up on a beach back here at Geraldton or even Dongera. I will keep my eyes open for them. Did you leave a message in one of them? I am not sure but I think we might have heard a bit of Enya drifting in on the sea breeze the other evening down at the Dongera farm beach (Dornford Castle) so the buckets can't be far behind. Safe rowing. Cheers, Roger and Sue.
Hi Guy, Denise and I thought about you last friday at Raj's polo match in Ascot. The champagne didnt stop flowing and the lobster was amazing but the best thing of all was the four ft chocolate fountain! But all said and done, we would much rather have been with you on your little boat in the Indian Ocean :) Miss you loads xx
oh forgot to say - well done on reaching the 1000 mile mark!
Andrew didnt sound too motivated by the football when I spoke to him earlier!!!!!!!!! Man united have a lot to answer for!!!! His main focus was still on food though so maybe if we do the dangling carrot trick that may encourage motivation. Bring on halfway, then the straight line HOME!!! woohoo
Hi There - Mum and John are on their 3rd bottle of pinot grigio and I have kept thrm waiting for a meal for 3 hours - heck so what, so good to hear what you two have been up to - don't chat to too many birds and keep your oar in. Love and kisses Brenda (you remember, the old dragon at roffey)...seriously, take care...........good on you....god bless x x x
after 39 days out in the sea, firstly do you think this was still a good idea ?! Secondly, have you thought about doing some other challenge..rowing around the Antarctic icecap seems a pretty difficult one and probablt best to do it soon beofre it disappears !! Don't be too dissapointed about the Man U result, us on Merseyside arn't..wey hey !!Mike
Del and Tel,
Keep rowing and all that business (but that's not helpful to you!) let's get down to some serious questioning and try to get you thinking:
1. Have you had any thougths on what you are both likely to do job wise when you return back to the UK? (maybe second hand boat sales?)
2. Will you both come back to Wednesday night football as we miss you and need the numbers? (5 of us last night - knackered within 5 minutes!)
3. Do you think that Susan Boyle (The Hairy Angel) will win Britain's Got Talent?
That's all for now.
Keep up the good work.
Greg

Hey Boys,
Loving following your progress, and bucket chat! Pretty disappointed for you about the wildlife.
I had a funny day a few weeks ago that I thought might make you laugh...I went to Duxford for the day for work (to count things!) and en route to the tube a bird pooed on me. Don't let anyone tell you that is good luck...When I got to Duxford it was raining but I hadn't worn a coat and could not wear my poo covered cardigan so had to walk up and down the runway 4 times in the rain, in a shirt, pencil skirt and heels. Someone even said 'this is a bit of a bridget jones moment'!?! When lunchtime finally came and I was offered a cup of tea I jumped at it so off this lovely smiley lady went...40 minutes later my tea had still not arrived but a paramedic had...She had fallen down the stairs on her way back with my cup of tea!! She ended up being given morphine shots and taken to hospital with a broken arm! Bad times ;o)
Keep up the hard work, you are doing fantastic. GO TEAM GO!
Lots of love,
Emma xx

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhush
no more ideas ok!!
Bloke goes into a brothel in Rome and asks 'how much for humiliation?' '£37.50' replies the madam. 'What do I get for that?' the bloke says. She responds: 'A Man Utd shirt'.
;-)
