Our pairs Ocean rowing boat is nearly complete and you are invited to join us to celebrate its launch and naming. One of our sponsors, the Captains Club Hotel, situated alongside the River Stour in Christchurch is hosting the event for us.

Tickets cost £20 per person which includes a champagne reception, live music from the ‘Swing Unlimited Big Band’ and the launch of our Rossiter-built boat by Ben Saunders - record breaking polar explorer. This is followed by a themed buffet and raffle/auction of which 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Orchid.

The Great Branding Company have kindly donated a selection of branded gear for us to sell to raise funds. We have polo shirts for £8 and T shirts, dresses and vests for £5. If you would like to purchase any of these items or if you can help sell them on our behalf please contact us. We are working alongside Orchid, the only UK registered charity that focuses entirely on the male-specific cancers; prostate, penile and testicular. They fund medical research and promote awareness about these cancers. Once we have covered our expenses we will use all additional funds to support Orchid. Before this time we will help to promote awareness of the male cancers, this is crucial in helping to recognise signs of the cancers - a simple self check can identify early signs of testicular cancer; which if caught early is 98% treatable.

In the last few weeks two Bronze sponsors have come on board, with a donation of products to be used both for training and during the race.

Lucozade have provided us with both pre race training supplements and powders and energy bars. Nivea have given us sun care protection for the 3 months at sea – thanks to Rachael Jones at Beiersdorf.


Fundraising Events Update
After the success of our first two six-a-side football tournaments we are holding a third at the K2 leisure centre, Crawley on Sunday 31st August, enter your team here.

Tom Watts, Mark Cawthorne and Chris Law are running alongside Guy in this years Berlin Marathon on Sunday 28th September.

Mark ‘Le Marathon man’ Cawthorne, a personal trainer, based in Worcester is helping raise funds for Orchid through a rowing event based at his gym. If you would like to donate money directly to Orchid please click here
